There is a waiting period of 30 days before you can make a claim under the family health insurance plan. This waiting period is known as the initial waiting period and is not applicable for accident related hospitalization.
The policy covers family members including Spouse, dependent parents and children, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephew, niece, or any other relation who is dependent or relatie living together.
A total of 160 day care procedures are covered under the policy. A day care procedure doesn't require hospitalization as the patient would be operated and discharged on the same day.
